Course Objectives
- Be guided to produce professional lesson plans, based on the formats used on CELTA courses, but adapted to the needs of young learners.
- For feedback, course participants will receive professional model plans written by an accredited CELTA tutor.
- Observe four video lessons in which they can see real classes being taught by experienced teachers and analyze the stages.
- Be asked to write short reflections on different classes in which they will raise their own awareness of the teaching criteria.
- Be provided with background reading recommendations to help them learn more about teaching and continue their professional development.
8 Three-Hours Sessions includes:
Session 1 – Young Learners – Who they are and how they learn
Session 2 – Rules and Routines
Session 3 – Lesson Planning
Session 4 – Ways of Teaching Vocabulary
Session 5 – Ways of Teaching Grammar
